Danville boys take second at Big 12 Meet
NORMAL — The Danville boys track team won three events as the Vikings took second to Bloomington in Tuesday’s Big 12 Conference indoor meet at the Shirk Center at Illinois Wesleyan University.
Phillip Hall won the 800 meter run in a time of 2 minutes, 3.07 seconds, while Darryl Kelley won the triple jump in 42 feet, 7 1/2 inches and the 3,200 relay team of Brandon Barfell, Hall, Quemarii Williams and Sincere Williams-Davis won with a time of 8:23.75.
Williams was second in the 400 (51.59) while Williams-Davis was second in the 1,600 (4:44.69), Tyler Huckelberry was second in the 3,200 (10:11.92) and Jaiden Nelson took second in the shot put (46-6 1/2). Kelley was third in the long jump (20-3 1/2), while Powell was third in the 3,200 (10:17.47) and Josiah Heidel took third in the shot put (46-4 1/2).
The 1,600 team of Hall, Williams, Osahar Wilson and Powell was third (3:36.19) and the 800 relay team of Kelley, Wilson, Armond Mayfield and Iziaih Lopez took fourth (1:37.52).
