Ownership in Education Review Meetings are Scheduled
2024-2025 Ownership in Education Handbook Review Meetings have been set:
The Ownership in Education Manual is the handbook of discipline policies and expectations for students in Danville School District 118. Each year, the Ownership in Education Committee meets to review data, discuss interventions, and identify change recommendations to the Board of Education. The committee is made up of parents, teachers and administrators. The public is welcome to participate in this process as all meetings are posted publicly. The committee presents recommendations to the Board in May.
The annual review meetings of the Ownership in Education handbook have been set for 4:30-5:30 PM via virtual Google Meets on:
Tuesday, April 2, 2024 - online, link will be available closer to time of meeting
Tuesday, April 16, 2024 - online, link will be available closer to time of meeting
Tuesday, May 7, 2024 - In person, location to be announced
These meetings are open to the public.
The committee hopes that having virtual meetings will yield more participation and feedback from stakeholders. Tanner DeLaurier, Principal of Meade Park Elementary School, and Scot Vogel, Assistant Principal of Danville High School, will continue to chair the committee. Schools will have teachers, parents and administrative representatives on the committee and any suggested changes or edits for the 2024-2025 school year will be presented to the school board in May.
