Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Elementary Education

It is an honor and privilege to be entrusted to serve you, your children, and our community as the Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education for Danville School District 118.

I have served District 118 for the past 22 years in multiple capacities – as a teacher, principal, director, and now as an Assistant Superintendent. My educational achievements include a Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University, a Master’s Degree in General Administration, and an endorsement as a Director of Special Education. In the summer of 2016, I completed my superintendent’s endorsement and obtained an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership.

I deeply believe in a quality and comprehensive education for all students. I share in the vision of our Board of Education-- “To ensure that all District 118 students reach their fullest potential.”

At the elementary level, we focus on the whole child - both academically and social-emotionally. Our curriculum utilizes a standards-based approach that leads to strong academic foundations necessary for the next level. Instruction is individualized by caring, creative staff members who foster a love of learning in our students.  Upper elementary continues the focused, nurturing supports and affords students more choices in STEM and AVID offerings. Both elementary levels provide a range of afterschool activities so that students may discover their talents and interests.

Working along with the staff and administrators, the district will continue to grow and strengthen a rigorous teaching and learning environment which ensures success for every child.
